At The Canadian,
we deplore Horace Carby-Samuels having defied a Court Order made by
Judge Patrick Smith in Ottawa on 11 February 2016 that sought to reunite
Raymond, his son, and Dezrin, Raymond's mother who can no longer write,
talk and walk as a result of the combined effect of abuse, neglect and
forcible separation.
Horace is a retired Economics Professor who
had taught at the Univerity of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana before
he returned to work with the Government of Canada. Horace would now
lives in Kanata which is a suburb of Ottawa has been the centre of a
case of flagrant abuse in rights and freedoms that most Canadians take
for granted. He even found a dirty cop name Detective Robert Griffin Jr
to help him with his macabre plot against Dezrin, his wife, and Raymod,
her son, who has been passionately seeking to defend the right of his
mom.
There is a saying that "truth is stranger than fiction" and this case definitely fits in this category -- truly shocking.
Horace
Carby-Samuels who once claimed that "integrity" is the most important
human characteristic that he values, ironically asserted to Ottawa
Police Services that his son "suffers from mental illness". This lie
among others has been a part of Horace's apparent strategy to frustrate
Raymond's access to his own Mother who has also sought to see her son.
Her wish was last granted for a visit on 12 June 2015.
When
Raymond was taking care of his Mom into April 2015, she had been an
able bodied woman who could walk, write and talk. However, the combined
effect of abuse, neglect and the trauma of forcible separation from her
son imposed by Horace Carby-Samuels has contributed toward Dezrin
Carby-Samuels no longer being able to walk, talk or write anymore.
Horace
has blocked visitation access that Dezrin has sought and also blocked
Dezrin from obtaining speech therapy that has been recommended by a
doctor which Dezrin a retired RN had wanted.
Horace's actions
that have been embellished by the unethical behaviours of John Summers,
his lawyer from Bell Baker, show a lack of human decency and a betrayal
of the very value system that Horace Carby-Samuels had once purported to
uphold.
Horace has betrayed the very meaning of the word
'fatherhood', and having admonished Wilford, his own father for many
years, who was a gentle man, Horace has shown great hypocrisy, and has
arguably inflicted cruelty and deception that his own father would have
been incapable of executing.
At The Canadian, we support the
petition that implores Horace to restore the visitation access that he
has denied, which constitutes unlawful interference against the rights
of Raymond and Dezrin, his Mom to see each other and the ability of
Dezrin who has become physically disabled to see anyone she desires
without the unlawful oppression of those rights by Horace and John
Summers, his agent.
